Kufri Holiday Resort, Kufri .Sixteen kilometres (ten miles) from Shimla this is a local ski resort in winter. Himachal Tourism also manages the Hotel Peach Blossom at Fagu, 22 kilometres (14 miles) from Shimla, Hotel Hatu l Narkanda, 64 kilometres (40 miles) from Shimla and the Hotel Golf Glade at Naldehra, 26 kilometres (16 miles) from Shimla.

CHAIL
The Chail Palace Hotel is run by Himachal Tourism. The larger rooms in the main building have wide Iireplaces and bathrooms fit for a king. The little remaining royal furniture adds elegance to the interiors. The kitchens, may they never be modernised, still have the original cooking ranges and tables worn down by the knives of generations of cooks. Aparl from the main building, there are cottages in the grounds and the nearby Himneel Hotel.

KASAULI
The Alasia, The Mall is the original hotel in this, the least spoilt of hill stations. Himachal Tourism manages Hotel Ros-Common, Lower Mall and a Tourist Bungalow.

DEHRA DLN
Most of Dehra Dun’s better hotels are on the Rajpur Road heading north from the town towards Mussoorie.
Hotel Madhuban. The best of a variety of hotels that has recently upgraded itself with extensive renovations.
Other mid-range properties on Rajpur Road include Hotel Meedo’s Grand, Ajanta Continental and Hotel Himshri.
